The Cyborg Experiments

The Brief
The IET conference organisers asked Humanoid to webcast a live stream of a cybernetics talk by expert Prof. Kevin Warwick. A short highlights clip should also be edited to release afterward.
The Solution
We fully crewed the TV studio and vision-mixed the talk during the live broadcast. For the highlights, we combined key points from the recorded stream with footage supplied by Professor Warwick.
The Result
The live conference web stream drew the IET’s largest online audience to date. The highlights clip attracted thousands of views, receiving particular interest from audiences overseas in East Asia.
Humanoid broadcast a conference on cybernetics today for the Institution of Engineering and Technology.
Speaker Professor Kevin Warwick is world famous for his research into directly interfacing computer systems with the human nervous system.Project Cyborg created a media storm when Professor Warwick embedded an RFID transmitter into his own nervous system, becoming the world’s first human cyborg.
The implant gave him the power to control lights, doors, heaters and other computer-actuated devices, including a robotic hand thousands of miles away.
Live from Stafford Television Studio, Professor Warwick expounded his research and took questions from studio and online audience members about the future potential of cybernetic implants for medical and consumer technology.
