Bloodhound SSC

Humanoid provided video coverage of an inspirational talk this week, given by the engineering team behind Bloodhound SSC: the car soon to hold the Land Speed Record.
In association with Staffordshire Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Centre, the event described how Bloodhound harnesses the combined power of a hydraulic race engine, jet propulsion and a hybrid rocket to generate speeds of up to 1050 mph (Mach 1.4). The vehicle is under development by the team behind the record-breaking Thrust2 and Thrust SSC, the current world-record holder.
In partnership with Staffordshire STEM Centre, Bloodhound deliver talks and workshops, engaging students with an interest in engineering. Humanoid recorded the fascinating presentation and Q&A session discussing the technology behind Bloodhound.
