CeDo for Mobile
The Brief
CeDo asked Humanoid to produce a short promotional animation for mobile users to explain the threat of bacteria on standard supermarket packaging and their antibacterial solution.
The Solution
Keeping within CeDo’s 25-second time limit, we developed a snappy motion infographic formatted for mobile platforms and echoing the branding of their Biomaster technology.
The Result
CeDo were delighted with the resulting video, which can now by watched by scanning a QR code on the packaging of products used by millions of consumers across Europe.
Keep your eyes on supermarket packaging for a chance to see Humanoid’s latest animation for retail plastics giant CeDo, who develop household products used by millions across Europe.
Launched by scanning a QR code on the packaging of household products, the video explains the danger of bacterial infection and the protective properties of the silver ion technology embedded in CeDo plastics.
An Addmaster UK client, CeDo approached Humanoid after watching the Campylobacter animation produced for their antibacterial Biomaster range.
The animation was required to be playable on a supermarket shop floor — so it needed to load quickly, be easily understood without audio and communicate its message clearly. CeDo’s 25-second time limit needed to include all their key points. The animation was storyboarded to make the message as clear as possible while remaining watchable.
“This video’s structured to be convenient for viewers who don’t have much time. The animation was designed exclusively for mobile users — we didn’t want them to have to spend the first few seconds turning their phone landscape to view it properly, so we opted for an HD portrait orientation.
It’s the first video we’ve ever needed to produce in a non-widescreen format, which was an interesting creative change.”
–Chris Gandy, Humanoid’s Creative Director
Visually, the video mirrors the trusted Biomaster style developed for Addmaster’s Campylobacter and Healthcare promos.
The finished animation was optimised for best playback on mobile bitrates. The completed video is hosted online and can be launched by scanning QR codes on the shelves of thousands of retailers across the UK and Europe.
