The Brief: from Dettol and Reckitt
Dettol is the official hygiene partner for the Birmingham Commonwealth Games 2022. They supplied all hand sanitiser stations and cleaning products for the duration of the Games. We were commissioned by their parent company, Reckitt Benckiser Group Plc, to produce an easy to understand and engaging training video. The challenge for Dettol and Reckitt was to not only fully train all personnel but to a high quality level. Not only that but they had to complete training within a short space of time.
The Solution: to train all personnel before the Birmingham Commonwealth Games 2022
We chose a video animation mix as the solution. This was not only due to the time constraints but to also tell the story effectively. The video animation tells the story of the chain of infection and how we need to break the journey of the germ. The story allows key messages of hygienic cleaning and hand hygiene to be remembered and then put into action by cleaning personnel.
The story combines live footage, photographs and animations to become a video animation. We developed creative animated infographics to highlight key messages in the video. Our approach to video, enabled us to produce multiple versions for Dettol and Reckitt. This helps the organisations maximize value out of one production.
The Result: a long-lasting video for ongoing training
We produced the video animation in time for Reckitt and Dettol to fully train all cleaning personnel. The video has also been split into two full versions and smaller edits. It will now form part of Reckitt and Dettol’s ongoing training programme for their team.
