The Stripe Hog
The Brief
Waterblasting Technologies asked Humanoid for a promotional video building on footage we had already shot of their specialist equipment in use on London’s Olympic Route Network and South Bank.
The Solution
We re-edited our existing footage with a focus on their hardware, and incorporated a number of pre-planned additional shots. We chose a powerful soundtrack to reflect the company’s largely North American target audience.
The Result
Waterblasting Technologies were excited with their new promo material and displayed it as a prominent video case study on their website. Our footage was later featured on the Discovery television series “How It’s Made”.
Humanoid’s close relationship with the WJ Group has attracted yet another client in the highways industry: Waterblasting Technologies, the American company behind the Stripe Hog hydroblaster.
As the world’s leading manufacturer of Hydroblasters, Waterblasting Technologies’ equipment is used extensively for road marking removal in the UK, and played a major role in restoring the capital’s road network after London 2012. Humanoid recorded the Olympic Route Network decommission first-hand, capturing the Stripe Hog and Smart Vac technologies in action.
Stripe Hog’s 40,000 psi water jets can blast durable traffic markings from a variety of road surfaces, while the Smart Vac recovery system draws up debris and water to leave the road surface clear. Humanoid illustrated the full process with a focused re-edit of footage recorded during decommission, creating a promotional video to showcase Waterblasting Technologies’ role in the London Olympics.
