The ’68 Special
Elvis was back in the building tonight as Humanoid captured a full evening’s studio concert: the ’68 Comeback Special.
Stafford Television Studio saw tribute performer Mark Clay arrive by limousine, accompanied by students from Stone’s Rooftop Studios Pop School and Stage Academy.
Staffordshire University partnered with the Alzheimer’s Society earlier this year and has since worked on fundraising. Vice Chancellor Professor Christine King cares for her father who has dementia, and had the idea after watching Mark perform on several occasions.
“The evening went brilliantly and Mark certainly lived up to our expectations and gave everybody a really good night. I am delighted that it paid off and we managed to collect such a good amount to go towards the fantastic work in which the Alzheimer’s Society is involved.”

The night was a great success, raising £1700 for the Alzheimer’s society.
