Message to the Graduates
The Brief
Management of the Stoke-on-Trent Children’s University asked Humanoid to capture highlights of their graduation ceremony, accompanying a video message from Chancellor MP Tristram Hunt to be played during future awards.
The Solution
Proceedings moved quickly so we used two cameras to capture the gowning of the children and the ceremony itself. We ran to the MP’s tight schedule after the awards, recording his piece to camera in just a few minutes.
The Result
Organisers were very pleased with the footage, which is now played in every graduation Hunt is unable to attend. The edit is customised with alternate introductions for use in morning and afternoon ceremonies.
Humanoid filmed a very special graduation ceremony this October, celebrating the students of the Children’s University.
Providing extra-curricular learning activities, outings and experiences to young people aged 7-14, the university rewarded its members’ dedication with a short ceremony in which bronze, silver and gold achievers were awarded a prize and certificate.
Presided over by Children’s University Chancellor MP Tristram Hunt, the event gave proud families a chance to applaud their children’s efforts, and gave the young people a taste of the world of higher education.
Humanoid filmed a short interview with Hunt, in which he recorded a message for current and future graduates. The camera crew also captured supplementary footage of the ceremony and preparations, which feature in the completed video.
