JISC Course Data Project

The Brief
Staffordshire University asked Humanoid to produce an internal communications video to show how recent changes to their IT infrastructure have affected the way the Uni processes data.
The Solution
With a 10-minute time limit, we condensed interviews from team members to cover all key points concisely, with on-location footage and animated motion graphics to support the message.
The Result
The video allowed Staffs to present a full case study of their findings at a national conference, with input from everyone involved. The presentation was a popular highlight of the day.
Humanoid’s communications skills were put to the test this January, using a limited timeslot to convey the full extent of Staffordshire University’s data management upgrades.
Combining animation, abridged interviews and illustrative footage shot across several locations, Humanoid’s video highlights the changes made by the IT, management and marketing departments to centralise data and improve student access to course information.
Staffs is just one of many higher and further education organisations inspired and part-funded by the charity JISC to advance their use of digital technology. With Humanoid’s help, Project Manager Sam Scott and her team presented their findings at the Course Data Programme Meeting Show and Tell.
