Introducing NymaGUARD
The Brief
NYMAS asked Humanoid to create a promotional video for the trade show launch of their antibacterial NymaGUARD product, designed for hospital and care home settings.
The Solution
We combined 2D motion graphics with 3D CG animation of the product to demonstrate the antimicrobial protective properties at work, as part of a seamless looping display.
The Result
NYMAS attracted unprecedented interest at the show, where passers-by stopped to learn more about the product. They plan to expand their video campaign in the near future.
Humanoid produced NYMAS’ first ever promotional video this month, with an animated product showcase for the launch of NymaGUARD at Manchester’s Healthcare Estates 2015 show.
NYMAS design and manufacture safe and stylish washroom fixtures for the home and healthcare settings. Their newest product NymaGUARD builds on the hygienic design of their contact surfaces with built-in protection.
Humanoid came recommended by Addmaster UK, who manufacture the antibacterial technology behind NymaGUARD.
NYMAS approached Humanoid to produce a short animation introducing NymaGUARD and showcasing its function as part of their flagship grab rail product.
We worked with NYMAS’ marketing agency to develop their script into a storyboard for the video, covering each of their key sales messages and showing the rail defeating stylised bacteria from a number of different perspectives: from the microscopic level to an NHS bathroom — even under UV light! NYMAS shared their product design files for the rail, which we imported to our 3D animation package for lighting, texturing and photorealistic rendering.
With the countdown to the trade show underway, we designed the video to differentiate itself from Addmaster’s animation and work alongside the designs for the display stand, mirroring the natural lighting effects, colour scheme and layout for seamless integration.

The completed sequence is a comprehensive introduction to NymaGUARD, its benefits and applications.
One version of the video was delivered for web and another looped seamlessly on the trade show stand, where it attracted the attention of passers-by for 2 days at Healthcare Estates. NymaGUARD’s launch received a great deal of interest from the healthcare community.
