ExtraCare COVID Response
The Brief
ExtraCare’s PR agency Voiceboxx asked Humanoid to produce a video about the trust’s response to COVID-19. The video should feature interviews with the trust’s CEO and residents.
The Solution
Following government guidelines, Humanoid sent a video crew to shoot interviews and supporting footage at three care facilities across Birmingham. The resulting interviews were edited down to produce a three-minute film.
The Result
The completed video was shared across social media to reassure people that their communities are strong, safe, and open for business. On Facebook the video reached 193; likes, comments & shares 39; and post clicks 183. On YouTube the video had 1,576 views.
Humanoid used socially distanced filming techniques to produce a case study video for The ExtraCare Charitable Trust in partnership with communications agency Voiceboxx.
The aim of the case study video was to demonstrate how ExtraCare had responded to COVID-19 and despite the pandemic show that community life is thriving.
Humanoid captured footage at three locations across Birmingham: Bourneville Gardens, Longbride Retirement Village and Pannel Croft Retirement Village. The video combined interviews from the trust’s CEO and multiple resident testimonials, which were complimented with supplementary footage. This included an aerial view of each retirement village and staged shots of residents enjoying community life. To ensure the team was able to capture the footage safely a COVID-19 specific risk assessment was produced prior to the shoot.
“We worked with Voiceboxx to develop robust safety measures for the shoot that not only protected us, but also the residents. Despite the restrictions we were able to capture everything we needed to produce the edit without comprising on quality.”
–Anthony Thane, Humanoid’s Technical Director
The completed video was used to reassure potential customers that it is safe to join the community. Additionally, a set of concise videos were produced using the original assets, each addressing a different question about community life. These videos have been used across social media to encourage engagement and increase enquires.
