Direct Air Tradeshow Edit
The Brief
Direct Air commissioned Humanoid to produce a sixty second video for use at the online tradeshow Backing Britain 2020 Live.
The Solution
The video enabled Direct Air to showcase their services and connect with customers at a time when traditional events were cancelled.
The Result
The video was played out to staff at a regional development day. Following the screening the video was shared more widely across various social channels.
Using limited resources Humanoid adapted a pre-COVID brief to showcase Direct Air at an online digital festival.
Earlier this year Direct Air appointed Humanoid to produce a series of videos. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 the project was put on hold. Although the pandemic had disrupted operations, Direct Air were still keen to produce video content to present their services at the online tradeshow Backing Britain 2020 Live.
This innovative UK project aimed to replicate the traditional trade show by using technology to enhance and improve the value for its exhibitors. The show offered the opportunity to create a unique virtual stand, which included several types of mixed media. Direct Air asked Humanoid if they could adapt the original plan and produce a short video to help set their stand apart.
Humanoid reworked the brief and produced a sixty second exhibition video using company photographs and stock footage. To enhance the content, 3D photo projection techniques were used to bring the images to life. Additionally, key sales messages were conveyed used graphic overlays.
“Having access to a large collection of high-quality photographs gave us the flexibility to produce the video quickly without the need to acquire fresh content. By adding a subtle parallax motion to each image, we were able to elevate the video beyond a simple image slideshow.”
–Tom Down, Humanoid’s Project Director
The completed video was uploaded to their virtual exhibition stand and was received positively by delegates. Direct Air are currently assessing how to move forward with the original video campaign and are hoping to begin production soon.
