Cox & Plant Promo
The Brief
Cox & Plant challenged Humanoid to create a short and striking promotional video for their manufacturing process and range of food industry products.
The Solution
Humanoid captured everything from assembly to the machinery in action, combining live action with 3D graphics in a striking edit that showcases the company.
The Result
The video was well-received by Cox & Plant as a perfect match for the vision behind their recent rebrand. It will lead their future online marketing campaign.
Humanoid’s recent shoot for Cox & Plant gives a glimpse behind the scenes of the food industry, showing the food processing technology behind some household names.
As suppliers of food handling equipment to some of the UK’s biggest brands, Cox & Plant design and manufacture custom vibratory conveyors and other hardware from their headquarters in Stourbridge.
Cox & Plant approached Humanoid after contributing to the recent Black Country Growth Hub video and becoming familiar with our work. As part of a recent rebrand, they identified the need for a stylish promotional video to introduce the company and showcase their work.
Humanoid spent two days on location at Cox & Plant’s premises, capturing everything from the design studio and boardroom to the assembly team on the shop floor, while Humanoid’s aerial drone shot footage of the site from above.
Cameras were mounted on machinery to shoot unique point-of-view footage as food ranging from wine gums to dog treats ran through their various conveyor systems.
In post, the live action footage was intercut with photorealistic 3D animation of additional products.
“Cox & Plant were able to provide us with the actual CAD schematics for their products. We used these in our animation software to fly a virtual camera around and even inside the machines, which would have been impossible to capture on location, and adds some punch to the edit.“
–Tom Down, Humanoid’s Project Director
Finished with a motion graphic logo and edited to an unconventional rock-influenced soundtrack, the finished video stands apart from many of the industry’s corporate videos, and reflects Cox & Plant’s forward-thinking philosophy.
