Bringing Learning to Life
The Brief
Bee Active asked Humanoid to create a promotional video that would show their approach to educational physical activity, including footage of workshops and a school’s client testimonial.
The Solution
We spent two days shooting Bee Active’s range of activities on location, combining specially planned shots with on-the-fly coverage. Interviews were captured with a 2-camera setup.
The Result
Bee Active’s video — featuring an animated Mr Bee logo — got a great reception from the schools and families of children they work with. It features on their home page as a key promo tool.
Humanoid went back to school in Stoke-on-Trent to shoot the main promotional video for Bee Active, a fast-growing new physical activity programme for schools.
Educating, exercising and inspiring Early Years and Key Stage 1 children, Bee Active themes all its activities to create a vibrant and entertaining experience. It was vital to show how captivated the children became when taking part, so games and tasks were scheduled tightly to keep their level of engagement high.
It may have been a challenge to keep up with a roomful of rampant children, but the resulting video perfectly captures what Bee Active founder Ben Mills calls “bringing learning to life”. Combining the footage with interviews and animated branding, the finished video was a social media hit.
