Boarding at Hallahan House
The Brief
The marketing team at St Dominic’s asked Humanoid to create a promotional video to showcase their new boarding facilities, describe the school’s values and what they could offer to an international market.
The Solution
Our two crews captured a wide range of activities and facilities at the school, including staged and impromptu footage of students learning and socialising. The footage was edited to a message from the school’s head teacher.
The Result
The 2-minute promo was very well received by the school’s staff and governors, proving popular with families of prospective students. Following the release of the video, St. Dominic’s saw an uptake in foreign students.
It was back to school for the Humanoid crew this April, shooting at St. Dominic’s Priory School in Stone.
Focusing on new boarding facilities introduced at the renovated Hallahan House, it was essential for the promo to capture the school’s warm, welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. Having seen our recent portfolio of work with the education sector, Humanoid were the first choice to bring the experience of learning at St. Dominic’s to life.
A 2-camera crew toured the school, capturing classes, extra-curricular activities and after-hours social life for girls in the dorms. A combination of planned and free-form filming caught the students naturally at their most focused and relaxed.
