Awards Week 2013
The Brief
Staffordshire University asked Humanoid to provide video coverage of their Awards Week, including a highlights edit, individual interviews with the week’s honorary graduates and a Diary Room to record personal video messages for social media.
The Solution
We sent two crews: one to staff the Diary Room and the other to shoot interviews and capture proceedings in daily ceremonies. Diary Room messages were uploaded overnight, and edited highlights of the week were released on Staffs’ YouTube.
The Result
The Diary Room was consistently popular, attracting interest and traffic each day from graduates and well-wishers. Our annual Awards highlights are among the most popular of the University’s video releases and launched on the homepage of Staffs’ website.
Humanoid continued an annual tradition this summer, covering proceedings at Staffordshire University’s Awards Week.
The team shot footage in and around each faculty’s ceremony and celebrations, interviewing students and special guests for the University’s highlights material, as well as recording video messages for social media outlet The Diary Room.
With a two-camera setup, Humanoid captured excitement as former students shared congratulations and basked in the sunshine at the beautiful Trentham Estate.
This year’s honorary graduates included two London 2012 Gold Medallists – Anna Watkins and Andrew Triggs-Hodge, a Staffs graduate who opened the University’s science centre last year.
The Diary Room proved more popular than ever, with a constant stream of graduates, friends, family and well-wishers sending messages to their loved ones.
