Video news Update: Police Edition
‘Ello ‘ello ‘ello… what have we here, then? Law and order’s the watchword for our latest Video News Update, featuring the best of our recent work with Staffordshire Police.
It all started with last year’s “Summer of No Regrets” campaign, which was aimed at deterring crime among 11-15 year olds, using short, impactful animated clips with young voice actors — designed specifically for social media.
Leading on from this, we also shot a live action video featuring reconstructive material based on a real world story, highlighting the problems of coercive control and to raise awareness of the help that the police can provide.
And at Christmas, you may have also seen the hugely successful James Corden-inspired Staffs Police rendition of Carpool Karaoke. As well as the festive cheer, the videos delivered seasonal on-the-fly crime prevention advice.
More recently, we’ve also create a Sim City-inspired animation to promote the newly-launched Resolution Centre. By creating isometric maps, buildings vehicles and animated characters, this video visually explains how the new setup works. The project also includes interviews with the staff at the Centre, explaining the benefits and increased efficiencies.
But of course, it hasn’t all been about “Police, Camera, Action”! We’ve also produced a promotional video for wholesale giant, HellermannTyton. This video montage features footage from their Manchester, Plymouth and Cannock sites. Through a combination of staged live-action, timelapse and aerial, the video showcases the scale of their operation and gives a taste of some of the 75,000-strong product line from this global brand.
We’ve also produced an instructional video for SilvaPro: a medical burn dressing which has inherent cooling and antimicrobial properties. The video showcases the benefits of the product, using animated infographics and step-by-step live action demonstrations to give applications for various burn scenarios such as arms, hands and face.
In other news, we shot video highlights for GRS at St. George’s Park for their League Manager’s Association football event; we produced a vehicle build timelapse for Bri-stor Systems and Network Rail; and we even filmed a Pink Floyd tribute act: Darkside.
